Handmade soap has a basic advantage: glycerin.
All soap is made by combining a fat with an alkali. During the saponification process, the fat turns into soap and glycerin. In commercial soaps, the glycerin is removed by adding salt to make the soap and glycerin separate. The glycerin is then used in other, more profitable products, including cosmetics, medicine, printing inks and the production of the explosive nitroglycerin. But in handmade soap, the glycerin remains in the soap, providing deep moisturizing benefits.
If you have previously noticed "tight skin" from commercial soaps, you will enjoy the moisturizing benefits of handmade goat's milk soap.YOU WILL FEEL THE DIFFERENCE!
While the federal government forbids anyone to make any health claims on their soap, we can tell you, generally speaking, goat's milk soap is highly sought after for it's legendary skin healing and moisturizing properties.
A benefit of using handmade goat milk soap is that you can use it on your face as well as your whole body. It is not harsh to the skin, in fact, it can even possibly replace your moisturizer. Goat milk soap also diminishes bacteria from the skin while keeping your skin moisturized at the same time.
Goat’s milk is a natural emollient that helps soothe and moisturize the skin. It contains protein, fat, iron, vitamins A, B6, B12, C, D and E. Goat’s milk has 3 times more beta-casein than cow’s milk and is regarded as a "complete protein" because it contains all essential amino acids.
There are no parabens in any of our handcrafted products. Parabens are a type of preservative that has been linked to cancer. Parabens can mimic the hormone estrogen, which is known to play a role in the development of breast cancers. Parabens can cause skin irritation, contact dermatitis and Rosacea in individuals with paraben allergies. Parabens are found in many commercial products, including shampoo, lotion, and soap.
Lone Tree Bath Body & More uses no lard, detergents, or artificial colors in their goat's milk soaps. All of our luscious scents are created with essential oils or gentle fragrance oils.
Produced in small batches for ultimate freshness and quality.
We age our soaps to make them milder and longer lasting. To properly care for your bar of goat's milk soap, keep it in a soap dish that drains water away preventing it from sitting in a pool of water.
And that is why you want goats milk products! :0)
